Abstract | This report presents the findings of the National Research Council (NRC) Canada’s Audit of Occupational Safety and Health. The decision to conduct the audit was approved by the President following the recommendation of the Audit, Evaluation and Risk Management Committee1 on March 19, 2008, as part of the NRC 2008-09 to 2010-11 Risk-Based Internal Audit Plan. The audit was focused on OSH management practices at the corporate level and within a sample of six Institutes, Branches and Programs (IBPs) for the period April 2006 to August 2009. Additional information was gathered between August 2009 and March 2010 in order to validate audit findings and identify progress made by management to address findings. |
