Question 1. What is the NRC Digital Repository?
Answer to question 1The National Research Council's Digital Repository is a persistent archive for digital objects of all kinds. This new platform was created to host many different digital collections in a single environment, offering an improved interface which can search each collection separately or the entire repository at once. The digital repository offers new opportunities to publicly share materials that were previously unavailable. It is built on industry standard, open-source technologies making it both robust and flexible, and ensuring its long term viability.

Question 2. What type of content can you store in the repository?
Answer to question 2The repository is capable of storing any kind of self contained digital content. This includes documents, data sets, metadata, images, and audio/video files among others.

Answer to question 3A listing of all collections hosted in the repository can be found on the all collections page.

Question 4. Will you be adding more collections?
Answer to question 4We are always looking for new material to add to the repository. Our current focus is on digital content from the National Research Council or other Government of Canada departments. If you have an idea for a collection meeting that criteria please contact us by email.

Answer to question 6To be notified of any new additions to the repository please subscribe to our Atom feed. You can also create custom Atom feeds by first executing a search and subscribing to the Atom feed of the subsequent search results.
